The 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering will be held July 19-23, 2025, in New Orleans, LA. The theme for the Gathering will be “Endure” based on Hebrews 12:1-3.

The Kansas District would like to have a strong presence at the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering. New Orleans is a wonderful host city! We can expect great food, music, cultural experiences and the generous hospitality of the local people. We encourage you to participate and register your youth! Youth participants must be at least 14 years old at the time of the Gathering or be entering his or her ninth-grade year at the time of the Gathering. 

Below you will find information for busing, the Kansas District event, the optional swamp tour, and Kansas District T-shirts. Registration for these options is open. The link to the Kansas District registration is found below. The deadline to register for all Kansas District options is March 3, 2025. 

Busing: Buses will leave Kansas on Thursday, July 17, 2025, 6-9 p.m. (depending on the city) with the goal of arriving in New Orleans on Friday, July 18, at 3 p.m. The group will leave New Orleans on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, immediately following the Mass Event. We will arrive in Kansas on Thursday, July 24, between 3-7 a.m. (depending on the city). The cost is $300 per person.  

Kansas District Event: The Kansas District Event will be at Bayou Barn on Saturday, July 19, 2025, 3:30-6:30 p.m. The cost is $55 per person. This event includes a buffet meal with Cajun and traditional American food on the menu, an air-conditioned room that holds 400 people, a DJ, an alligator handler and outdoor games. Busing to and from the location is provided if you paid for the Kansas District busing listed above.

Swamp Tour: There will be an optional swamp tour prior to the Kanas District Event at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, for the first 225 people who register. The cost is $25 per person.

T-shirts: The cost is $15 per Kansas District T-shirt. Sizes range from Adult Small – 3XL. View the KSD T-shirt design below (click the plus + in the center of each photo to enlarge the image.)

The goals of the Kansas District Coordinators for the LCMS Youth Gathering are to prepare and empower adult leaders and youth as they come together in Christ to experience the LCMS at large. The District Gathering Coordinators also enable the District youth and adults to celebrate their oneness in Christ as a District through pre-gathering events and the District event at the LCMS Youth Gathering.
