The theme for the 2024 Pastors Conference is “Martin Luther and the Seven Deadly Sins.” The keynote speaker is Rev. Dr. Michael Fieberkorn, associate pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and School in St. Charles, Mo.

Optional LERT Training: Sunday, October 6, 4:00-8:30 p.m.

This training is for the Circuit Visitors, Region Vice-Presidents, and all other interested District pastors and lay people who wish to participate. The curriculum is used to train Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) volunteers who intend to deploy and/or assist with disaster recovery.

The training will take place at St. John’s, Topeka in Luther Hall. The facilitator will be Rev. Michael Meyer, Managing Director in the LCMS Office of National Mission and Director of Disaster Training. The Kansas District will provide a meal for those registered.

Keynote Speaker

Rev. Dr. Michael Fieberkorn

Associate Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and School in St. Charles, Mo.

Rev. Dr. Michael T. Fieberkorn, author of Battle of the Soul: Luther Reforms Vice and Virtue, is a pastor currently serving a congregation in St. Charles, Missouri. Before entering ministry he graduated from the Air Force Academy and served in the active-duty Air Force for six years. He continues to serve in the Reserves. He earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, with emphasis in doctrinal theology. Dr. Fieberkorn and his wife, Angela, are the parents of Jacob, Kayla, and Logan.
